AIDING THE AIDED
2.1 Define the term “ARV” and briefly explain TWO purposes of ARVs. (1+2) (3)
Antiretroviral
- Lengthens the lifespan of a person that has the HIV and AIDS.
- Slows down the multiplication of HIV by working directly on the virus.
- DONT ACCEPT ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT CURING THE DISEASE.

- Abstain from sex- The safest way to stop the spread of HIV is to avoid having
sex.
- Be faithful- being apart of a relationship where both partners are HIV negative
and faithful to each other is the safest way to not contract HIV while having
sexual intercourse
- Use protection- making use of a condom is the safest form of protection
during sex from HIV.

thus leaving many south africans alone in their country while the
majority of their family doesnt live

building of our nation as they have many loved ones leaving and feel
the pressures of leaving the country
